Former NBA Star Evan Fournier Loses It on Courtside Fan in Greece Before Being Held Back by Swarm of People

March 17, 2026

Fournier, now starring for Olympiacos B.C., has been one of the most recognizable international names in the Greek Basket League, having arrived in 2024.

Things escalated quickly during Olympiacos’ game against Panionios B.C. on March 15, according to clips circulating on social media.

Among those helping contain the moment was Olympiacos guard Thomas Walkup, who joined others in physically holding Fournier back as tensions peaked.

The incident adds to Fournier’s growing list of heated moments in Greece, including a controversial ejection during the 2025 finals against Panathinaikos B.C.

Fournier has been a steady contributor for Olympiacos B.C. during the 2025-26 season. In the Greek Basket League, the veteran guard is averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 assists, and 1.7 rebounds across 14 appearances.

His best outing came on February 14, 2026, when he exploded for a season-high 32 points against Iraklis B.C. He’s also been efficient, shooting around 44 percent from the field.

Fournier is also logging strong minutes in the EuroLeague, where he’s averaging 11.1 points along with 2.6 assists and 1.8 rebounds through 28 games this season.

Evan Fournier brought his NBA intensity to Greece. Sometimes that intensity boils over. Against Panionios, it took a swarm of people to hold him back from a courtside fan who clearly crossed a line.
