Draymond Green Loses His Temper and Chases Victor Wembanyama After Controversial No-Call

April 2, 2026

Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green found himself in the spotlight once again and not for the kind of highlight fans hope for.

A viral clip from Tuesday night’s game shows Green sprinting after San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama and grabbing his jersey after a no-call that left him furious.

The moment unfolded after Green drove at Wembanyama and felt he was fouled on the play. When officials didn’t blow the whistle, Green didn’t even bother jogging back on defense. Instead, he immediately turned around, chased down Wembanyama, grabbed him by the jersey, and began arguing with the referees.

With Golden State dealing with a wave of injuries and frustrations, the moment didn’t come as a shock to many fans. Stephen Curry’s return is still uncertain, Jimmy Butler is sidelined long-term, and Draymond is essentially Golden State’s only available star.

But that workload has come with some messy moments.

The replay shows there may have been contact on the drive, but it was minimal and officials appeared to make the correct decision by letting play continue.

Under normal circumstances, a chase-down complaint like this would almost certainly earn a technical foul. But with Draymond, referees sometimes give a little more leeway, knowing his intensity is part of the game.

Despite the heated exchange, Green has long been a vocal supporter of Wembanyama’s talent. In a previous interview, he called the Spurs phenom “otherworldly,” adding, “Everything he does would take four people to do. He’s that special of a player.”

Wembanyama, meanwhile, continues to climb the MVP ranks as San Antonio’s brightest young star.

As for Draymond, this latest moment is just another chapter in a season filled with tension, pressure, and frustration for a depleted Warriors squad.
