The New York Knicks didn’t just eliminate the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.
According to many fans online, they completely embarrassed them on their own home court too.
Knicks Fans Flooded Philadelphia During Massive Playoff Blowout
The Knicks dominated the 76ers 144-114 in Game 4 to officially complete a shocking playoff sweep in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
But the game itself quickly became only part of the story.
Thousands of New York fans packed Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena throughout the night, creating an atmosphere that many viewers compared to a Knicks home game at Madison Square Garden.
During one live television segment after the game, ABC reporter Cheyenne Corin was completely mobbed by celebrating Knicks supporters while trying to report outside the arena.
Fans screamed loudly behind her, waved signs, and chanted while cameras continued rolling live on air.
One sign even read, “Welcome to MSG East.”
Social Media Immediately Roasted The 76ers

NBA fans across social media wasted no time clowning Philadelphia after videos from inside the arena started going viral online.
Many users mocked the 76ers fanbase for allowing New York supporters to completely take over the building during an elimination game.
One fan posted, “That’s not Philly anymore.”
Another wrote, “Knicks fans turned their arena into Madison Square Garden South.”
The trolling only intensified after clips surfaced showing New York fans waving brooms outside the arena to celebrate the sweep.
Others could also be seen taunting Joel Embiid throughout the game while holding photos from previous playoff moments.
Josh Hart Added Even More Fuel To The Fire

Knicks guard Josh Hart didn’t exactly help calm the situation afterward either.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Hart openly questioned whether Philadelphia still deserved its reputation as a major sports city.
“Everybody was begging for Philly not to sell their tickets,” Hart said.
“I used to think Philly was a sports town. I don’t know if it is anymore.”
The comments immediately exploded online and sparked another massive debate between Knicks and 76ers fans across social media.
Meanwhile, several devastated Philadelphia supporters were shown on local broadcasts expressing frustration and disappointment following the embarrassing loss.
The Knicks Continue Building Serious Championship Momentum

With the sweep now complete, New York advances to the Eastern Conference Finals looking like one of the hottest teams remaining in the NBA playoffs.
The Knicks’ offense completely overwhelmed Philadelphia throughout the series, while their fans arguably made just as much noise as the players themselves.
Now the viral takeover in Philadelphia has become one of the defining moments of the postseason so far.
And based on the internet’s reaction, 76ers fans probably will not hear the end of it anytime soon.
