A seemingly harmless team photo has turned into one of the most talked-about NCAA moments of the year, after New Jersey Institute of Technology track athlete Jessie Fotheringham went viral again.
The NJIT standout from Tamworth, Australia first caught widespread attention in February when her team posted a picture of her in uniform. The photo, meant to be a simple promotional shot.

Before the team could delete the post, someone on X reposted it, and it immediately took off. The caption “Admin was cooking 🪵” only added fuel to the fire as the views skyrocketed.

Fotheringham wore a tight red track suit and an NJIT-branded white top. At first glance, it looked normal. But the wardrobe malfunction was noticeable enough that the internet quickly post past 13.5 million views.

Even after the original post was taken down, the viral screenshot resurfaced this week, pulling in millions more views and fresh waves of commentary.

Many fans were stunned that the school allowed the picture to be published without any review.“This is obscene,” one fan wrote.“Why they got her meat out man,” another person commented bluntly.

Others questioned how a university athletics department could approve the photo, especially considering athlete comfort and professionalism.“Were pants ruining the aesthetic at the photoshoot?” one person joked.

In just two months, the photo has amassed over four million views in new and counting. While Fotheringham has gained massive online recognition, it hasn’t been the kind of attention any collegiate athlete hopes for.

Fans continue debating whether the school should take accountability for posting something so revealing without proper oversight. Many argue that the situation reflects poorly on NJIT, not on the athlete herself.
