Burrow and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels are the co-captains for Wildcats FFC, one of three teams in the inaugural Fanatics Flag Football Classic.
The point of flag football, of course, is to play the enjoyable game without the danger of tackling. And yet, Joe Burrow was awfully close to suffering what could have been a devastating injury.

In the second half of the Founders’ game against Team USA, a teammate threw Burrow a dangerous hospital pass that could have caused a horrific injury. Thankfully, the physical contact was minimal.

In Week 2 of 2025, Burrow suffered a turf toe injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was limited to eight games. Through six seasons, Burrow has been limited to 77 games, per Pro Football Reference

The Bengals are hoping for a healthy 2026. This was a reminder of how quickly that hope can disappear.
