Early in the first quarter, Magic’s Jamal Cain tried to dribble to the basket in front of Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell. As the ball went out of bounds, a man sat in front of the unaware NBA fan ducked the ball.
The sphere continued its way until it found the woman’s beer and seat. The beverage was knocked over while other fans looked in disbelief. The next sequence showed the woman looking upset with the situation.
The clip drew a lot of attention on Tuesday night. Plenty of fans complained about the same thing and called out the woman for spending too much time on her phone instead of watching the game.
“Get off your damn phone and watch the game lady!” one fan said.“maybe if she wasn’t on her phone she would of seen the ball coming,” another fan said.
“Shouldn’t have been on the phone texting her other man and pay attention.. jesus christ don’t feel sorry she has to buy another 15 dollar beer,” a third fan said.
“Well maybe if she wasn’t on her phone she would have seen the ball coming,” a fourth fan said.“She’s mad at pinky who ducked the ball,” a fifth fan added.
The Cavaliers secured the 45th win of the season (136-131) behind 42 points from Mitchell. James Harden contributed 26 points while Evan Mobley and Sam Merrill scored 19 apiece.
A woman went to an NBA game, sat courtside, and spent most of her time on her phone. Then a loose ball came, her beer went flying, and the internet had a field day.
Moral of the story? Watch the game. Or at least hold your beer tighter.
