Golden State Warriors fans finally have a reason to smile again. After months of uncertainty, Jimmy Butler’s latest rehab video has delivered a much-needed boost of optimism to a franchise battling.
The Warriors have been hit hard by injuries throughout the season. At one point, the roster was so depleted that players were literally practicing shots with their non-dominant hands.

In the viral video, Butler is seen casually draining corner jumpers in an empty gym and he’s doing it in flip-flops. It wasn’t explosive cutting or intense contact drills, but it didn’t need to be.

The injury occurred during a win over the Miami Heat, with surgery following shortly after in February. ACL recoveries often take close to a full year, especially for players in their mid-30s.

More importantly, Butler has made his mindset clear. He wants to return as soon as he’s physically ready — but he refuses to rush the process.

The Warriors desperately need some good news. Butler has been out for months, Moses Moody has battled injuries, and Stephen Curry has missed extended stretches.

Butler’s return isn’t just about this season it’s about the future. Golden State’s roster is aging, expensive, and running out of time to maximize the final years of Curry’s championship window.

For now, though, that discussion is secondary. The focus is on Butler’s recovery and the hope that he can come back stronger next season.
