During halftime of Saturday’s dominant 49-0 win over The Citadel, a couple stepped onto the field for a surprise marriage proposal but Kiffin had other plans. The 49 year old coach crashed the big moment, sparking laughter across the stadium and making the proposal even more unforgettable.
According to reports, Kiffin didn’t just walk by he joined in the fun, snapping a picture with the newly engaged couple right on the 50 yard line. Fans erupted in cheers as the head coach flashed his trademark grin and gave his signature thumbs up.
“Only Lane Kiffin would photobomb a proposal in the middle of a blowout,” one fan joked on X (formerly Twitter).

This isn’t the first time Kiffin has made headlines for his sideline antics. Earlier this year, he dunked on a portable hoop during Ole Miss’ blowout win over Tulane proving he knows how to keep things light even when his team is dominating.
With Ole Miss now sitting at 9–1 and ranked No. 6, Kiffin has every reason to be in high spirits. The Rebels are eyeing a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff, needing just two more wins against Florida and Mississippi State to secure their shot at a national championship run.
