A leaked audio clip has now shed more light on how the confrontation unfolded and what was actually said between the two players.
Bitadze’s response appeared to anger Luka. The 27-year-old Lakers star quickly reacted by issuing a warning and telling him not to involve his family again.
“I’ll f* you up, don’t mention my fcking family again,”* Luka added.
Shortly afterward, Luka approached the referees to report the incident. However, the officials did not catch the exchange in real time and ended up issuing both players technical fouls.
