In a bombshell report from ESPN, Doncic released an emotional statement about ending his engagement with Goltes.
“I love my daughters more than anything, and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,” Doncic said.

“Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness, and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can,” he added.

This was an unexpected turnaround for Goltes and Doncic’s relationship. The two were engaged in 2023. The biggest hurdle right now is that Luka is based in Los Angeles.

Doncic has been a recipient of a smear campaign from multiple people lately, but those were due to his on-court performance in LA.

Doncic has now learned that his ex-fiancée has filed a petition for child support for their two minor children. The silver lining is that Goltes only filed for child support and attorney’s fees. It did not include custody orders.

The court battles are just beginning. And for Doncic, this might be the toughest opponent he’s ever faced.
