According to Ahmad Hicks of FOX 9, Moore was found dead in a New Albany, Indiana, garage from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police are continuing to investigate the matter.

The news has sent shockwaves through the football world, leaving teammates, coaches, and fans grappling with the sudden loss of such a young life.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Moore in the second round (49th overall) in 2021 out of Purdue. He was one of two Purdue players drafted that year, along with linebacker Derrick Barnes.

Arizona used Moore sparingly on offense but gave him plenty of snaps on special teams. In three NFL seasons, Moore caught 135 passes for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns.

He helped the Cardinals end a six-year playoff drought in the 2021 season. They finished 11-6 to snag a wild card berth, falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the opening round of the playoffs.

Moore was even more dynamic on special teams. He returned 22 kickoffs for 182 yards and 13 punts for 291 yards, averaging an impressive 22.4 yards per punt return.

A 25-year-old with his whole life ahead of him is gone. A dynamic playmaker who brought joy to everyone he met. A teammate, a son, a friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Moore’s family, friends, and the entire Minnesota Vikings organization during this unimaginably difficult time.
