The incident left fans inside the arena stunned. Concern spread quickly as players from both teams gathered around Moody while staff was taking him off the court.
“Rick Celebrini, who Warriors’ fans have come to know very well, he runs the training staff and he’s been there for a while now, he’s really well liked, he walked out the x-ray room and he was just stone-faced,”
“Steph, De’Anthony Melton, and a couple of other guys were sitting outside the x-ray room in the arena, just waiting for Moses. They wanted him to know that they were there,” he added.
Moody had just made his return to action in Monday’s game after missing 10 consecutive games due to a wrist injury. Moody’s injury is a major blow for Golden State.
Before going down, Moody was performing at a strong level, averaging a career-best 12.1 points per game while shooting a career-high 40.1% from beyond the arc.
