Footage from the concourse showed a hectic scene, mostly involving women. One woman in all red could be seen grabbing and punching a smaller woman in a white shirt as the video began.
The woman in red was then seen being dragged by her hair as a man attempted to break things up. Finally, the young girl in white loosened her grip on the hair as she was being held back.
It is unknown whether everyone involved was a Hawks or 76ers fan. There is also no word on whether these fans were kicked out or arrested.
While fans were fighting in the concourse, the actual game went on. The Hawks defeated the 76ers 125-116, led by Jalen Johnson’s 35 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 24 points.
It was a tough night for Philly. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 31 points before suffering a massive setback injuring his right hand in a collision with a teammate.
NBA games are supposed to be about basketball. Sometimes, the fans have other ideas.
