Michael Jordan Made Sure to Keep His Distance From Tyler Reddick’s Son After Sunday’s Victory

March 3, 2026

Two weeks ago, Tyler Reddick won the Daytona 500, giving Jordan’s 23XI Racing team its biggest victory. The celebration should have been pure joy. Instead, a viral video sparked controversy.

The footage showed Jordan playfully interacting with Reddick’s young son, Beau. The angle made it appear as though Jordan was touching the child inappropriately. Social media erupted.

Stephen A. Smith blasted the fans and media for jumping to conclusions. Reddick himself dismissed the controversy when asked. But the damage was done.

Sunday at Circuit of the Americas, Reddick did it again. He held off Shane van Gisbergen over the final 20 laps to win his third consecutive race to start the 2026 season the first driver in NASCAR history to sweep the first three events.

After the win, Beau was seen on top of the car, celebrating with his dad. Jordan was there, clapping and smiling, holding up three fingers to mark the historic achievement.

“Michael Jordan made sure he stayed FAR AWAY from that little kid this time 😭😭,” the Hater Report account posted, capturing the moment.

“I’m proud of the team we put together. Denny, I’m pretty sure he feels the same way as I do. I think a lot of credit goes to him, because he’s the mastermind in finding Tyler and putting together Billy Scott and all them.

Reddick and 23XI Racing head to the Straight Talk Wireless 500, looking to extend their historic streak.
